The Elder Scrolls Online has had over three million beta applications so far, according to Matt Firor in an interview with PCGames.com.
Speaking to the website from GamesCom, Firor said, “We’ve had well over 3 million beta sign-ups, which we haven’t announced before. You don’t want to let too many people in early, because the game is, frankly, not too good in early beta and you don’t want to expose many people to that, but we’re well into the tens of thousands.”
Three million people and counting signed up to try out a game that isn’t even finished yet is pretty impressive, and considering Guild Wars 2 sold around 3 million copies total, it’s clear there is a lot of interest, and a lot of expectation for The Elder Scrolls Online.
ESO is scheduled for release in Spring of 2014.
